I purchased this LCD TV in January 2009 and have found it to be an an absolutely good buy.

A couple reviews said that the tv set has problems while the black shades are changing. Ilooked at this in the store with great details and have used it for a month and now I can say for sure that my TV doesn’t have that problem. This is a extremely sharp TV with excellent colors and strong black tones. This LCD TV is so much greater than the old TV W model.

Here are the the reasons why you should purchase this LCD TV. It has a so good image in high definition and does a excellent job in SD transmission much better than several other TVs I have seen. For that it’s respossible a nice technology from Sony called DSP which is basically noise reduction technology. Sony of course knows Blu-ray because they manufactured it, they know what color tones should appear I mean they hold a movie studio, the tv menus are truly comfortable to use, it has a built in TV guide and it has future expansion capability.

Picture quality is pretty near Samsung in high definition. I looked at both TVs side by side. Samsung is slightly better on clarity in standard definition. Samsung has more glare, Sony is a matte cover but blacks on Samsung are pretty good because of the glossy screen. While viewing a Blu-ray disc,Sony has a bit more details. No fade from white to dark problems on Sony as some reviews has mentioned. Colors are nice and bright as Sony Bravia two engine is great, perhaps even better than XBR engine.I’ve found that the Z series may be better but there isn’t 52” models

Tv menus on Samsungs are created for experts with a lots of tweeks, but really it’s clouded for average user. If you doubt that, download the user manual for the Samsung LN52A650 and for Sony KDL524100 and see for yourself. If you are technical expert, then buy Samsung. If you don’t like to get lost in menus, but you want an premium image, go with the Sony. Ths Sony TV is truly easy to use, but also it it will find you channels itself and is like you have built in cable box.

The Sony tv Set may not have the Ethernet connector and built in weather like the series 6 from Samsung, but it does have the built in TV guide and upgrade possibility. But, if you want internet in your TV, you are better off connecting an external device. The TV guide option in this television is good and the Sony Bravia Sync is nice particularly if you use a Sony DVD converter for 1080p. Picture in Picture technology is outstanding also because you can watch image from HDMI while viewing cable TV.

For me preferred feature on Sony KDL52W4100 is the on/off button on the top side as this is stoping children from turning off LCD TV. Also a good thing is the remote on the Sony as it is quite easy to operate.

So, if you like the a very clean image, easy to use LCD TV with features that makes every day TV viewing fulfilling and easy. This Sony KDL52W4100 is good choice.

You can check Sony KDL52W4100 on LCD TV Reviews portal. If you don’t like Sony check Samsung LN52A650.
